About this workshop
On April 30, 2024, Polina Zueva brought her ExoTricks workshop to Inner Me Studios in Houston, Texas. The session introduced dancers to Polina’s approach to dynamic Exotic Pole technique, combining creative tricks and transitions with body control, strength, and fluid movement around the pole.
Rather than approaching tricks as isolated elements, the workshop emphasized how to enter and exit movements cleanly and how technical elements can become part of a continuous dance. Students worked on developing greater control and confidence while exploring ways to make challenging movements feel more intentional and visually connected.
The class gave Houston dancers an opportunity to expand their Exotic Pole vocabulary while experiencing the combination of technical precision and expressive movement that characterizes Polina’s teaching style.
