Why here
An international pole coach, based in St. Petersburg
Tampa Bay has no shortage of places to take a pole class. It has very few places to be coached — to have somebody watch the specific way your shoulder collapses in an invert, plan the six weeks that fixes it, and then check the work.
Polina Zueva trained and competed internationally before settling in St. Petersburg, and teaches Russian Exotic, pole technique, flexibility and floorwork as one connected system rather than four separate class titles. She has taught guest workshops at studios in New York, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Houston, San Antonio, Charlotte and across Florida — and now teaches privately in St. Petersburg, and online.
If you are chasing a first invert, a competition piece, a heels routine that actually reads on camera, or simply the confidence to move without checking the mirror, the work starts the same way: a conversation about where you are, and a plan for where you want to be.
What you can book locally
In-person training in St. Petersburg
Every session is planned before you arrive and followed up with what to work on next.
Private Pole Lessons
One to one, built around the level you are at and the trick or combination that is currently refusing to happen. Beginners welcome — a first lesson does not need a room full of strangers in it.
Russian Exotic & Heels
The style Polina competes in and teaches internationally, and the one hardest to find a qualified coach for in Pinellas County. Heels technique, floorwork, choreography and the movement quality that separates the two.
Flexibility & Conditioning
Programmed for the range and strength your goals actually require, and around any injury history you bring with you. Splits, backbends, shoulders and grip — trained, rather than stretched at.
Studio Workshops & Guest Classes
Workshops travel, which private lessons do not. If you run a pole studio — around Tampa Bay, or anywhere else in the country — Polina comes to you to teach Russian Exotic, exotic tricks and choreography, in the same formats she has taught in California, Texas, New York and here in Florida.

How it works
From first message to first session
Loved learning all the kip ups and cool heels tricks with Polina. Still drilling them — and loving it!
Polina’s Russian Exotic workshop was amazing. We can’t wait to have her back!
I’ve been able to use what I learned from Polina in my own pole practice.
I can’t wait to come back and train with Polina again!
Polina’s classes are always so much fun, but challenging at the same time.

Local questions, answered
No. A first private lesson assumes nothing: grips, your first spins, how to come down safely, and the conditioning that makes the following month easier. Starting one to one means nobody is watching you learn and the pace is yours rather than the room’s.
In a studio, always — never at a student’s home. Almost always that studio is Intice Dance Fitness, 2104 34th St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33711, on 34th Street South in St. Petersburg, because that is where Polina teaches most of her week. If you already train somewhere else around the bay, ask: meeting at another studio can sometimes be arranged, but Intice is what she will normally suggest. And if the drive does not work at all, the same coaching runs online.
Students come from both sides of the bay, but the lesson itself is almost always at Intice in St. Petersburg. Gulfport, Pinellas Park, Largo, Seminole and the beaches are closest; Tampa, Brandon, Riverview, Lutz and Wesley Chapel are a regular drive in. Workshops are the exception — those Polina travels for, and she has taught them at studios in St. Petersburg, Lutz and Gibsonton.
Not for in-person lessons. The online courses do need a pole you trust and enough clear space around it — each course page lists exactly what it expects, and the flexibility and conditioning material needs no pole at all.
No. Russian Exotic is taught both in heels and barefoot, and plenty of students never put a pair on. If you do want to work in heels, the technique for it is part of the coaching rather than something you are expected to arrive already knowing.
The standing in-person option is private and semi-private coaching. Group teaching around Tampa Bay happens as workshops and guest classes hosted by local studios, and those are listed on the workshops page as they are scheduled.
A single 60-minute private lesson is $105. Booked as a pack, three sessions are $285 ($95 each) and five are $450 ($90 each). Training with a partner, a semi-private for two is $150 in total — $75 per person.
Yes. Workshops are the part of the work that travels — around Tampa Bay, to other cities, and to other states. Write through the contact page with your studio, your dates and the level of your students. Polina teaches Russian Exotic, exotic tricks and choreography in intro and pro formats, and will put together a plan around what your members actually need.
The online courses are the same methodology, structured module by module and trained from your own pole at your own pace. Students follow them from across the United States and internationally.
